Discover how one manufacturer used Microsoft Azure to simplify their end-user and customer experience by streamlining user-sharing permissions across their applications.

One B2C manufacturer that builds and installs traffic systems was struggling with time-consuming and complicated access sharing of their commonly used applications. This manufacturer works with various design applications (both internally and externally) and could not easily view and edit customer work. For example, when a customer would create a design (typically called a claim) in photoshop, the manufacturer would have to provide their customer or partner with a specific login to edit and view information. However, even after logging in, users couldn’t view parts of the claim that were created in other applications like InDesign or Microsoft Word. The manufacturer wanted to use Azure technologies to improve user experience by simplifying access to key customer applications.

Microsoft Azure for Permissions and Identity Management

After collaborating with JourneyTEAM to create encrypted identity tokens and establish universal user permissions, the manufacturer was able to improve and simplify both user and customer experience. Leveraging Azure Virtual Machines, they can offer better support to their customers as customers can now log into one application and see information across the entire project. User permissions were created within Azure based on roles and editing rights, which eliminated the hassle of creating and providing multiple logins and navigating between different applications. Five thousand end-users and their customer base are now able to collaborate on projects easily and efficiently.
