Introducing 3 New SharePoint Intranet Packages from JourneyTEAM

Updated: Dec 6, 2022

What is the importance of having an intranet? If you haven’t made it a priority, your organization is not running as well as it needs to be.

It all really comes down to knowledge management. In the grand scheme of things, what we are trying to do with an intranet is making the big and complicated into an organized and easy-to-access form. A good intranet allows organizations to implement a system that allows the right person to find the right information at the right time. Your intranet means better group collaboration, employee relations, better internal communications, information sharing, comprehensive knowledge management within your organization's ecosystem.

So here's my soapbox.

Some clients may say "We don't have an intranet, so we don't need one." I'm pushing back here. You do have an intranet. How do you communicate internally? You are probably sending emails out all over the place. You have mass texts to employees. You have documents floating all over. You have flyers printed and taped on the wall. This is your intranet. How effective and accessible is it? Is anything getting lost or misunderstood? How safe is your company’s content? You already have an "intranet" ... it just isn't working very well for you.

“If HP knew what HP knows, we would be three times more productive.” –Lewis E. Platt, former CEO

A business ecosystem that requires you to bookmark, save or download links and attachments

is not efficient for internal communication.

Let's do a theoretical test. Can you hire a new employee today, get them access to one system, and have them be able to get to the information they need to do the job? If the answer to that is no, then you don't have an effective internet. Intranets are supercritical, and not just for corporate communications where they are great. Internets are a landing pad and a portal to get to all the information anyone in the company needs, to do their job effectively.

What is SharePoint Intranet?

Sharepoint Intranet is the collaboration and information sharing tools made available

through Microsoft’s Sharepoint and Team software. Basically, we aim to provide our clients with all

the help they could possibly need, ranging from implementing corporate intranets, establishing

information architecture, to organizing and structuring content. JourneyTEAM has custom-made unique integrations as well to make our clients' experience with their intranet the very best.

Three Packages

JourneyTEAM has developed three primary intranet packages to benefit our customers. The tiers are structured here, but keep in mind every organization has different business objectives. Be open to the right customizations for you. Let’s jump right into it.

1. The Basic Intranet Package | $5,000

Based on our experience, there are several consistent structures and features that we see most companies implement. We will take our experience and provide an Intranet already built out with “temporary” content. Upon delivery, our team will then provide content owner training, empowering the client to take what we have created and implement something unique for their organization. This basic intranet will include the following:

  • Custom Theme: Within the framework of Microsoft modern theming

  • Side Design: Template for all intranet sites. This includes the relationship to the Hub Site and an update of the custom theme

  • SharePoint Sites: All intranet sites built with related mega menu navigation

  • OOB Webparts: News webparts and other related webparts will be deployed and configured across the intranet

  • Content Owner Training: 2 hours

2. The Silver Package | $15,000

This intranet package is focused on meeting with the client and building out an intranet that meets their specific business requirements. No custom development is included, however, our team will provide custom web parts that we have already developed to help address the gaps of features within SharePoint.
