Microsoft Viva, just like the rest of the tech world, is integrating Artificial Intelligence into its products at a rapid pace. There are several Viva modules, and nearly all of them are integrating AI in one way or another.
Before we jump into what each of those modules/apps does, let’s cover what Viva is. According to Microsoft, “Microsoft Viva is an integrated employee experience platform built within Microsoft Teams that gives you the ability to support connection, insight, purpose, and growth in your organization using your existing infrastructure.” Adopt the powerful benefits of Viva by learning about each of the modules below.
Viva Connections
Connections keeps everyone in the flow of work and stay connected no matter the location. Connections fosters a culture of inclusion through personalized dashboards. It does this by taking news updates, conversations, and other things you frequently use and displays it like a news feed to keep your common connections centralized in one location.
Connections primary goals are to:
- Foster a culture of inclusion
- Encourage meaningful connections
- Manage change with transparency
Connections is available to use now.
Viva Amplify
Amplify harnesses the power of AI in specific, useful ways. Amplify implements writing help for crafting various types of messages throughout your organization. These messages can also be published to multiple channels simultaneously.
Amplify empowers employees to:
- Manage multiple campaigns from one location
- Effectively analyze campaign metrics
- Create messages and responses to promote communication
Amplify is currently in Private Preview, so it’s not available to the public quite yet.
Viva Pulse
Pulse uses AI by taking smart templates, research-backed questions, and analytics to help managers understand what’s going well, and what needs extra attention in their organization. Proactively gain insights and solve common problems with Pulse.
Pulse provides suggestions on:
- Learning opportunities
- Resolutions for issues
- Reporting analytics
Pulse should be available sometime in 2023.
Viva Topics
Viva Topics uses AI to organize information into categories that make the most sense. Topics makes it far easier to find information users are looking for, right when they need it.
Topics allows organization members to:
- Navigate information by topic (surprise!)
Topics is available now.
Viva Learning
Viva Learning allows you to share and implement content within your Teams conversations. Employees will expand their skillsets and advance their knowledge and performance with the Viva learning courses.
Through the AI capabilities in Viva Learning, you can:
- Personalize your learning content
- Receive suggestions on what to explore next
Learning is available now.
Viva Goals
Viva Goals makes organizational, team, and individual goals clear by showing goal progress. Through AI, Goals reporting capabilities can reflect results updates in Excel and other goal-tracking tools.
Goals can:
- Make it easy to track your personal goal progress
- Enable people to See what other team members are working on
- Allow managers to view goal insights and goal journeys of their employees
Goals is available now.
Viva Insights
Do you ever feel like you need someone to tell you when it’s time for a break at work? Meet Viva Insights, your new work mom who only cares about your well-being.
Viva Insights uses AI to give you:
- An overview of happenings to occur that day
- A platform to provide feedback on meetings and coworker performance
- Occasional reminders to take a break
It even has a product called Headspace that gives guided meditations, filters, or shuts off work notifications at the end of the day, and a checklist so you can cross off your daily accomplishments. Work effectively while taking care of your well-being thanks to Viva Insights.
Insights is available now and is compatible with most Microsoft platforms.
Viva Engage
Viva Engage is essentially a work social media platform, where you can connect and share your interests with coworkers.
Engage uses Copilot, an AI assistant, to help:
- Give insights on what employees are interested in and how to interact with them
- Foster fun communication among coworkers
- Engage is available now.
