Based in Utah, with locations in Canada and the Philippines, Xyngular has been dedicated to improving customer health and wellness for 14 years. The company offers a range of products, including energy, weight loss, and aging bundles, along with around 80 individual products for cardio, digestion, probiotics, and more. As a direct-sales company, Xyngular also provides opportunities for social selling, allowing partners to sell products at their own pace.

The Need for an Updated System

Originally, Xyngular used Microsoft Dynamics GP, an on-premises ERP system. This setup was the last instance of server management for their small IT team. During the pandemic, sales surged, revealing limitations in their ability to manage stock and orders efficiently. With sales increasing dramatically, it became clear that they needed a more modern, cloud-based ERP system that could integrate seamlessly with their unique CRM system.

Transition to Dynamics 365 Business Central

Xyngular began searching for a new ERP system, and after evaluating four options, they chose Dynamics 365 Business Central for its scalability and affordability. To support their implementation, they partnered with JourneyTeam as their Microsoft Partner.

In the end, the affordability was such a massive difference that the other solutions didn’t make sense, says Russell. Plus, we had heard really positive things about JourneyTeam, and our IT team really liked working with them.

Implementation and Benefits

Fully deployed across the company, Dynamics 365 Business Central now manages Xyngular’s accounting and material requirements planning (MRP) services. The new system has automated order management, providing better visibility and saving significant manual effort. Russell notes, “A huge win for us is the ability to have transactional data. I can go in the system and easily pull out the specific information that I want to know.”

The supply chain and operations teams can now manage partial orders and optimize shipping routes, enhancing customer satisfaction. The finance team appreciates the system’s affordability and ease of use, particularly its interoperability with Excel. “The usability has been a huge improvement,” says Russell. “It exports to Excel in a user-friendly way that allows me to use data easily.”

Looking Ahead

In February 2024, Xyngular successfully managed its first product preorder using Dynamics 365 Business Central, selling out five months’ worth of inventory in just 12 days. The new system streamlined the entire process, taking less than 10 minutes to manage the preorder system.

Looking to the future, Xyngular plans to explore other Microsoft products like Power BI, continuing to leverage the benefits of their modern cloud solution. “Dynamics 365 Business Central has allowed us to be as routine as possible in terms of operations, and those frictionless processes definitely help satisfy our customers,” concludes Russell.
