The 2025 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards are announced ahead of Microsoft Ignite, which will be held in San Francisco from November 18-21. They are classified in various categories, with honorees chosen from more than 4,600 nominations from more than 100 countries.

The Nonprofit category is a first-time win for JourneyTeam, and we are extremely proud to be named a finalist. Nonprofits are on the front lines of today’s biggest societal issues and technology presents a tremendous opportunity to help them solve some of their toughest challenges.

For AAFMAA, a nonprofit provider of financial services for military families, JourneyTeam implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and improve member engagement. The solution replaced manual updates and siloed systems with a centralized CRM that enabled real-time collaboration and remote access.

Staff gained visibility into member interactions, allowing for faster response times and more personalized service. The transformation empowered AAFMAA to deliver continuity and care at scale, reinforcing their commitment to supporting military families with excellence and compassion.

Transforming Mission-Critical Operations with Unified Services

JourneyTeam worked with a nonprofit that was relying on legacy systems that couldn’t support their complex workflows. JourneyTeam implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to unify financial and operational processes, including fund disbursement, case tracking, and donor reporting. Power Platform components automated intake forms and approval workflows, while Azure Blob Storage secured sensitive documents.

To round out the solution, Power BI dashboards provide real-time insights into rescue operations and funding utilization. The new system replaced fragmented tools with a unified, cloud-based platform enabling the nonprofit to operate with greater transparency, efficiency, and better align to their mission.

Revolutionizing Head Start Case Management with AI

We partnered with Centro de la Familia, a nonprofit focused on early childhood education and family services, deploying a secure, scalable AI-powered solution using Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot Studio. A custom-built Copilot Agent was embedded into their custom platform and Microsoft Teams, automating case documentation and recommending next steps for family service specialists.

The solution reduced case note processing time by 70%, improved service consistency, and freed up staff to focus on direct support, scaling across 2,000 Head Start programs and impacting over one million children. Centro’s transformation has been featured by Microsoft and stands as a model for how AI can drive equity and efficiency in mission-driven organizations.

Accelerating Growth with Business Central

Whether migrating from spreadsheets, a legacy business solution, or an expensive cloud-based solution, JourneyTeam has been providing customers with an innovative and scalable approach to connecting their finance, sales, service, and operations powered by Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Reimaging ERP Implementation with Sherpa

JourneyTeam’s innovative Sherpa Program is based on guided learning in a cohort, virtual setting. Led by our experienced business applications and technology experts, it’s a quick start approach that minimizes cost and risk. Backed by our Sherpa guidance, MaxxForce transitioned to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in a structured, affordable, and practical way for a lean team. The company now has a scalable ERP solution that cuts month-end close times, provides real-time reporting, and positions them for future manufacturing.

Moreover, the transformation was accomplished without overwhelming costs and disruptions that are common in many traditional ERP projects. It’s a testament to what’s possible when ERP implementation is reimagined for small and mid-sized businesses.

Streamlining Order Management for Modern Teams

We partnered with Smarter Furnishings, a furniture supplier for colleges and universities,  to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central alongside a self-service customer portal tailored to university housing managers. The portal allowed customers to reorder furniture based on purchase history, triggering automated workflows in Business Central and eliminating manual data entry. Quote turnaround times dropped by 80%, and the project was delivered 30% under budget.

With centralized dashboards and real-time insights, Smarter Furnishings aligned finance, sales, and operations, and showcased how Business Central can modernize operations and empower growth in high-volume, relationship-driven industries.

Unifying Global Operations for Supercharged Efficiency

JourneyTeam implemented Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI for Huish Outdoors, replacing disconnected systems and manual processes with real-time visibility into global inventory and financials. The transformation enabled Huish to streamline IT operations, cut device setup time by two-thirds, and reduce phishing and spam by 75%.

With Microsoft 365 and Defender deployed across the organization, Huish now has centralized control over data and assets, improved collaboration, and enhanced cybersecurity. The partnership showcases how cloud-based ERP and security solutions can empower brands to scale confidently and securely.
