A non-profit religious organization that reaches all over the world, 180+ countries and territories, needed additional Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain visibility and implementation assistance. They required their ERP operations to be organized, secure, and seamlessly communicated with their other systems in use.
This large religious organization operates a 185,000 sq ft print center to produce printed materials for its global operations. They use a variety of large industrial machines to accomplish this task with little interruption around the clock. Thousands of units of printed materials are produced each day in various languages and formats to be distributed throughout the world to its 17 million members.
As part of the global rollout of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain, they needed help from JourneyTEAM with plant floor machine integration and programming. This project addresses the need for sensors, controllers, and human interfaces of the machines to communicate with Dynamics F&SC and keep track of inventory and production. This solution allows for increased capabilities in the tracking of goods produced and sold, raw materials, scraps, etc.
Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain was implemented to work cohesively with their other data management tools. Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) capture the data and their human-machine interfaces (HMI’s) capture input from machine operators. Data from both the PLC’s and HMI’s are then sent to F&SC and Dynamics Print utilizing various Azure resources.
