Setting Up a New Company in Dynamics 365 Business Central

To get started with setting up a new company, open Dynamics 365 Business Central and use the search feature to search for “Companies.” Next, open the Companies page.

From here, click the Create New Company button in the top-left corner of your screen. This will open a Company Creation Wizard which will guide you through the steps of setting up your new company. Click Next, enter the company name, click Next again, and then select Finish.

Now, it’s time to use the wizard to get your company set up. You’ll be prompted to enter basic company info such as the company address, logo, phone number, email, website, account details, tax and bank information, and other important items.

Finally, you’ll be asked to enter the start date of your company’s fiscal year and costing method (FIFO, LIFO, Specific, Average, or Standard). Once this information has been entered into the system, you’re done! You’ve successfully set up a new company in Business Central.

Migrate Business Data to Dynamics 365 Via Excel

Let’s take a look at just how easy it is to continue with the company setup process.

Imagine that you’ve watched the Migrate Business Data setup video, and now you’re ready to migrate your business data from Excel into Dynamics 365. From the dashboard, click Assisted Setup in the top-left corner of your screen and then select Migrate Business Data.
